Let’s Get Even

LET’S GET EVEN Dr. Ken Crocker The world would be much better if we all tried to get even.  It’s easy to become a thoughtless taker and expect others to give and help while we never return the favor. We must know someone who has been wonderfully kind and thoughtful – people who have encouraged and blessed us with unexpected joy.  How about the folks who cooked meals for us or taught our children in Sunday school?  Now would be an excellent time to get even. An eighty-year-old woman who lived alone was asked why she was happy.  She answered with a smile, “I have so much to do.  I

What about Miracles?

By Dr. Ken Crocker    With Debbie Jansen There are 35 miracles recorded in the earthly ministry of Jesus. They all had a divine purpose. Yet, Jesus never staged one to impress people. He refused to provide miracles for problems that have a human solution.   A prime example is when Jesus fed 5,000 people with a little boy’s lunch. He could have fed them without the lunch, but he used what was available. Jesus warned against the desire to use miracles to avoid the discipline of ordinary work, care, and forethought. (John 6:26)  John 21 records a miracle when Jesus appeared after the resurrection. The disciples had fished all night

Abortion Debate – Just sayin’

Just Sayin’ Honest, out-of-the-box, creative thinking questions….are the only path to the truth. There are a lot of lies floating around that confuse the “abortion” issue. For example, Those who feel abortion should be the law of the land, like to moan about the lives that will be lost if “abortion” is not available. The Truth is that “abortion” has always been available when doctors are sure the mother’s life is in danger.  One of the best Christian women I ever knew had an abortion during the 1950’s when abortion was an evil word.  Her pregnancy was in trouble.  The baby wouldn’t survive a forced birth and the complications

This picture is a plaster molding of my parents hands as they prayed. It sits on the corner of my desk and reminds me of the way they taught me to pray. What a treasure! For the next month, I hope you will join me as we use prompts from my book – Praying for America and the Army of God. LET’S COVER AMERICA IN PRAYER! Our country needs change and a revival. Together we will make a difference. Over this week-end, I ask you to pray for yourself and your family. Before we reach out to others, let’s be sure we are stable and strong ourselves! There’s a wonderful

30 Days of Prayer for America

Franklin Graham wrote a wonderful article about praying for America! He started his article by saying…“Taking a stand for our country begins by going to our knees in prayer before Almighty God.” I absolutely agree with him.  Yet, so many Christians need a daily reminder to pray. How often have we all (including myself) been inspired to pray for a special issue but we were overloaded with life and simply forgot? How many times have you prayed a general prayer when you were rushing out the door? Like Dr. Graham said – our prayers should not be an after thought, they should be powerful, productive and specific. The book, “Praying

A Canopy of Swords

I wish my topic today was as happy as this wedding picture. America needs our help. America is being attacked by powers in this dark world. Notice the Saber Arch (Canopy of Swords) in this picture. My story for you today includes God’s War Angels and their Canopy of Swords. When we pray, God always listens. Unfortunately, if we don’t pray with a clear picture of the enemy we face, our prayers can be weak and without the power of the Holy Spirit. When we can see our enemy clearly, our prayers – God’s War Angels and His power are a billion times more powerful than anything we can imagine.
