Safe in His Arms

I was calm yet filled with excitement. Every week I set aside Wednesday to spend with Him. I am quiet. I feel peace. I don’t eat. I just think about my wonderful friend. It’s as if the whole world swirls around us yet my friend and I are sheltered within a quiet floating bubble. This morning my sleepy eyes opened and I felt like a little child. Jesus looked down and smiled at me as I crawled into the lap of my Savior. He helped me sit comfortably and He hugged me close. I laid my head on His chest and heard His heartbeat. He stared ahead to watch the

Will YOU be indicted?

There’s talk about indictment and/or imprisonment for a lot of powerful people.  Like many of my friends I am concerned about what will happen to citizens of this country if we have to go through months or even years of legal debates, lawsuits and the never ending headlines involving people of power.  We are all exhausted with the last year of debates and mudslinging.  This country’s people are at a breaking point. Nothing gets done when we are distracted by indictment or criminal behaviors. When your life, your family, your state or your country is in chaos, it’s hard to be productive and move forward. Can you pray for me?

Mom took a while to finish supper tonight.  She wanted to talk so I sat at the table with her, but she just stared out the window.  When I tried to prompt conversation, she asked me to leave her alone until she was finished. With Dad gone I can see the pain in her eyes.  They were together for 65 years.  Unlike couples who spend the work day apart, mom and dad worked together.  Side by side, sharing each other’s burdens, day after day.  For the last three years mom and dad were like peas in a pod.  They sat together, ate together, ventured out on the porch – together

I believe in Miracles….

Over the years I’ve listened to the stories of miracles recounted by wonderful Christian members and pastors.  I’ve watched as my parents experienced exciting miracles.  Those miracles were things that could NOT have happened on their own and took place against all odds. On a world wide missionary trip Dad saw blind eyes open and a leg grew 5 inches while the 2,000 person crowd wildly praised God.  A man’s hearing was healed, a toddler walked away from his death bed and dad faced Satan in VooDoo country. More importantly to my own faith, I know I wouldn’t be here if God had not answered prayers with a miracle.  When

Tribute to my dad, Dr. Kenneth L. Crocker

My wonderful dad, Dr. Kenneth L. Crocker passed away June 22,2016. I’ve tried to post a blog about him several times but my grief has been overwhelming. Dad was my best friend, my mentor and a great source of strength. I knew I could call him anytime and he would have just the right words to get me up and moving again. I didn’t know how difficult it would be transfer the strength I found just being in the room with him to a determination to go on without him. Dad and I were very close and yet different in many ways. What he taught me not only changed my
